In 2009, Key Ring planted its stake in the mobile shopping space with its Android app, which incorporated barcode scanning technology. The goal – at that time and today – has always been to simplify and enhance the shopping experience for consumers from the second screen into physical stores. That’s exactly what the Key Ring app, now available on iOS and Android, has done. Continuing to leverage emerging mobile technology, the app built a geofence network supporting more than 14 million retail locations to serve relevant content to shoppers when they need it most – while they are shopping. With more than 10 million sessions per month, Key Ring delivers localized and personalized information to shoppers while in pre-shopping mode so they can purchase everything from weekly groceries to a new flat screen TV at the best price.To date, more than 11 million users have stored over 50 million loyalty cards across the retail, CPG, travel and restaurant categories. Combining GPS location data with the users’ loyalty interest graphs, the app makes shopping easier, faster and more efficient by delivering reminders to use loyalty cards along with localized digital promotions and weekly sales circulars from 160 retailers representing more than 2,000 loyalty programs in 27 retail categories. This savings content is housed in Key Ring Express, a section of the app dedicated to highlighting the cards, coupons, and sales within 100 meters of the user’s current location. With Key Ring Express – and its geolocation triggered push notifications – users don’t have to plan ahead in order to save money. The app will alert them when a money saving opportunity arises.Most recently, Key Ring partnered with inMarket – a leader in iBeacon technology – to deliver real-time, beacon triggered alerts as shoppers walk into thousands of physical stores across the country. Because winning the mobile loyalty game can be challenging in today’s digitally-ruled environment, Key Ring continuously works with retailers and brands to create in-app shopping experiences that deliver on the promise of long-term value, utility and mobile interactivity. By cultivating truly “loyal” customers, retailers are better equipped to boost in-store sales by 55 to 70 percent.
