Tackling Black Friday Part III: The Strategy

By now, you will have seen or heard of the outrageous sales occurring next week. What to do with all this information?

Go back to your list: Do you have all your sales information up-to-date? Major retailers will have already (or will soon) release their Black Friday “previews”. These are jam-packed with vital sales information. Once we have these previews, making a plan of attack will become easier.

Who goes where? Is this a family effort? Decide who is in charge of finding what item. Will dad wait in line for the TV and mom try to score the clothing deals? Know everybody’s part before you go.

What time are you willing to give up for these sales? Keep in mind that a lot of these sales will begin during Thanksgiving. Make sure everybody in your family is on the same page about cutting the festivities short to go shopping.

Do a dry run: Familiarize yourself with the stores and their layouts. Know where items are located and research/map out your route. Don’t forget to note where emergency exits are located!
